What is Liposonix treatment?

Liposonix is a safe and an effective non-invasive treatment involving minimal downtime, where the patient can immediately return to their daily activities. It is a safe and effective treatment in reshaping or reducing excess fat tissues. It is not particularly recommended for fast-tracking weight loss. On the other hand, the treatment procedure can increase the patient’s motivation to maintain a regular exercise plan and a nutritiously balanced diet.

Who should receive Liposonix treatment?

Is a blood test required?

Yes, a blood test is required. A blood test is used to determine the levels of platelet, blood coagulation (PT, PTT and TT), electrolytes, liver function and pregnancy.  Potential blood-related infections including HIV and hepatitis B are also tested. These blood tests are conducted to ensure the safety of the patient prior to treatment.

Should medications be avoided before treatment?

There are certain medications that are to be avoided, including:

• Fibrinolytic medications, which can interfere with blood coagulation (aspirin, warfarin)
• Analgesic (NSAID)
• Vitamin E
• Liver medications including herbal remedies
